Fine Gael want VHI increase justified

Fine Gael has repeated its calls to the Government to freeze the recommended 9% increase granted to the VHI.

Fine Gael wants the rise to be put on hold until the health insurer appears before the Oireachtas Committee on Health on Tuesday.

The Fine Gael spokesperson for Health, Gay Mitchell, insists that the company must be made to justify the increase to policy-holders.
