Tanaiste criticised over talk of wage inflation warning

The Labour Party is rejecting the Government's warnings over wage inflation.

Finance spokesperson Derek McDowell is accusing the Tanaiste of not wanting to share the fruits of the economic boom with workers.

He also accuses her of deliberately failing to point out that historically Ireland has had lower wages than our EU counterparts.

He dismissed talks of a recession saying, "Yes, there is a slow-down in growth, but let's wait and see".
