Demand to push up property prices - claim

Irish house hunters are being warned to buy their homes now before an anticipated increase in property prices.

The Irish Home Builders Association is warning that the supply of new houses will decrease by as much as a quarter next year, leading to a further hike in prices.

However, there are some reports that the predictions could be an attempt to re-inject interest into the property market as it is now experiencing a slow down.
