Vintners reject pub smoking ban proposals

The Vintners Federation has described proposals by an Oireachtas Committee to ban smoking in pubs as 'unworkable, unrealistic and unenforceable'.

The Vintners Federation has described proposals by an Oireachtas Committee to ban smoking in pubs as 'unworkable, unrealistic and unenforceable'.

The VFI said it has carried out research on the subject which shows that both smokers and non-smokers do not want non-smoking pubs and claims that such a ban would go against what people actually want.
