Body discovered in the Liffey

The body of a female has been found in the river Liffey at Custom House Quay in Dublin this morning.

The discovery was made shortly after 6am at the bottom of the steps leading into the river.

Gardai are preserving the scene and a doctor has been called to the area to examine the body.
