Donegal man gets suspended sentence for fatal attack

A Gweedore man, whose attack on a New Year’s Eve reveller led to his death three days later, has been given a five-year suspended sentence at the Dublin Circuit Criminal Court.

A Gweedore man, whose attack on a New Year’s Eve reveller led to his death three days later, has been given a five-year suspended sentence at the Dublin Circuit Criminal Court.

31-year old Brian McBride, of Carraig tSeascáin, Doire Beaga in Co Donegal had pleaded guilty at Dublin Circuit Criminal Court to unlawfully killing Michael Kerr from Omagh on January 1st 1999.
