Man in court as Gardai widen dissidents probe

A man arrested in Wexford as part of an investigation into the activities of dissident republicans is due to appear at the Special Criminal Court this afternoon.

The man was detained under Section 30 of the Offences Against the State Act.

The arrest is the third in a week by detectives investigating the activities of the dissidents.

Earlier this week, two Co Kildare men were charged with the membership of an illegal organisation.
