Higher poverty rate in US than in Ireland

Just over 15% of the Irish population is living in poverty according to a United Nations Human Development report published today.

Among the countries that have a higher poverty rate than Ireland are the United States, with a poverty level of 16.5%, but Sweden has the lowest poverty rate with less than 7%.
