Student hurt in rickshaw accident

A Northern Ireland student was badly hurt when her scarf got tangled in the wheel of rickshaw, police said today.

A spokesman for Lothian and Borders Police said she suffered a crushed windpipe, a broken neck bone, a stroke and severe bruising.
