Sources rubbish Trimble claim on youth's death

Security forces in the North have described as "nonsense" the claim by David Trimble, that republicans could be responsible for the death of the Catholic youth shot dead in Antrim yesterday.

Sinn Fein also dismissed Mr Trimble’s claim and the RUC confirmed that their main line of inquiry is proceeding on the grounds that loyalists were responsible for the killing.

The Bishop of Down and Connor has been visiting the family of 19-year-old Ciaran Cummings, who was killed yesterday as he waited for a lift to work.
