ATGWU refutes Ahern's ESB claim

The ATGWU has rejected suggestions that an ESB bid for a Polish electricity company vetoed by the government was a risky venture.

Union spokesman Denis Dohen insisted that the ESB "had lined up some very strong American backers and neither the company themselves or the State was being put at risk".
