O'Reilly Eircom offer granted extra week

Sir Anthony O’Reilly’s Valentia consortium has been given another week to try to finalise the terms of its offer for Eircom.

In a statement this evening, Eircom is saying the main terms have already been hammered out.

The two-paragraph statement from Eircom said the principle terms of a proposed offer have been agreed.

However, it goes on to say that a request from the Valentia consortium for an extension of a further week has been granted.
