Attacks on Catholic homes in Belfast
A gang of loyalists broke through a peace line gate in north Belfast last night and attacked houses on the Catholic side of the line.
Windows were smashed, while paint bombs were also thrown at Catholic houses in the Duncairn Gardens area.
There was also sporadic stone-throwing overnight in the Ardoyne area, while a blast bomb and a hoax bomb alert disrupted the annual Catholic blessing of the graves service in Newtownabbey.
RUC Asst Chief Constable Allan McQuillan challenged the loyalists responsible to declare who they represent or support.
