Trimble re-elected as Ulster Unionist leader
David Trimble was today re-elected as Ulster Unionist leader with no challenge at the party council’s annual general meeting in Belfast.
In his speech afterwards, he said that his impending resignation on July 1 as First Minister would not necessarily collapse the Assembly.
