There is good news for Irish agriculture today with the news that Turkey has re-opened its markets to Irish beef.

The ban had been in operation since 1996.

Reacting to the news, the Minister of State at the Department of Agriculture, Noel Davern said the move might prompt countries like Iran, Iraq and Syria to follow suit.
