New graphic road safety campaign launched
A new advertising campaign aimed at pushing home the consequences of not wearing a seat belt is being launched today.
The campaign by the National Safety Council and the North's Department of the Environment spares no detail in relaying the horrific effects of a crash on those not wearing seat belts.
National Safety Council chairman Eddie Shaw described the advertisement as disturbing but necessary.
He added that he hoped the law would now take a much firmer line on the non-wearing of seat belts.
