Eircom confirms deal 'in principle' with O'Reilly

Eircom have confirmed that a deal has been agreed "in principal" with Tony O'Reilly's Valentia consortium on the sale of the fixed line part of the company.

Valentia has been granted a period of exclusivity until 25 June 2001 in which to finalise the terms of their offer.
