Eircom bids: O'Reilly starts 'exclusive negotiations'

Tony O'Reilly's Valentia consortium has entered into "exclusive negotiations" with Eircom about the group's bid for the fixed line part of the company, according to a Valentia spokesman.

The move means Denis O'Brien's eIsland consortium will effectively be excluded from talks from now on.
