Government under pressure to answer questions on Aer Lingus

Opposition parties are upping the pressure on the Government regarding the proposed sale of Aer Lingus.

Labour and Fine Gael are demanding answers from the Minister for Public Enterprise Mary O'Rourke about future plans for the national carrier.

There are fears that a trade sale would leave Aer Lingus vulnerable to being taken over by a rival whose first action may be to cut key routes or close it down all together.
