The Government’s National Action Plan against Poverty and Social Exclusion has been heavily criticised for not doing enough to tackle the issues it is supposed to.

The Council of Religious in Ireland has criticised the plan and has highlighted several areas in which it fails to deal with issues such as poverty and exclusion.
