O'Reilly group increases Eircom bid

The Valentia Consortium, headed by businessman Tony O'Reilly, is reported to have increased its takeover bid for Eircom's fixed lines.

The latest offer is reported to be €1.22, which includes a 2.1c dividend.

The new offer matches the initial bid by Denis O'Brien's E-Island consortium.
