Fire deaths regarded as suspicious

Police in the North say they are treating as suspicious the deaths of a man and a woman in a house fire in Co Down.

However, they say they are not looking for anyone else in connection with the deaths.

Meanwhile, it is understood that the man who died in the blaze was originally from Co Donegal although his name has not yet been released.

The couple were killed in the blaze near the village of Cranfield, about three miles from Kilkeel.

Their six children managed to escape.
