Bomb explodes outside RUC station

A device has exploded outside an RUC station in Co Tyrone, gardai said.

It detonated outside the Sion Mills station shortly after 3am.

It was not known if anyone was injured in the blast.

Gardai had received a number of bomb warnings and had evacuated a number of homes but the device exploded before it could be dealt with by bomb disposal experts, a RUC spokesman said.
