Tanaiste tackles insurance costs

Greater competition within the insurance market is being promised by Tanaiste Mary Harney, who said this afternoon that costs for the ordinary consumer are unacceptably high.

Ms Harney intends to bring in new measures that will bring down motor and personal insurance costs, which are among the highest in Europe.
