Body found in basement on Grafton Street

A decomposing body has been found in the basement of a financial institution on Dublin's fashionable Grafton Street.

The body of the man was discovered at about 3pm this afternoon in the basement of the office on Grafton Street.

Gardai immediately sealed off the scene.

The dead man was lying face down and there was no immediate indication of foul play.

However, gardai say they are keeping an open mind on this death.

The body has not been identified at this stage and it is not known how it ended up in the basement.

A post mortem is being carried out to try to solve this mystery.
