Criticism has been levelled against the North-Eastern Health Board over its decision to locate a specialist breast cancer unit in Navan rather than in Drogheda.

Leading cancer consultant Dr Maurice Stokes of Drogheda's Our Lady of Lourdes Hospital has condemned the move to site the breast centre in Meath as a "backward step".
