Two arrestred re: firearms offences

Two people have been arrested in connection with firearms offences and are being held in custody in Dun Laoighre.

A man in his forties and a woman in her twenties are being held.

A gun has also been recovered.

The two are being held under Section 30 of the Offences against the State Act.

They can be held for up to 72 hours.
