More relaxation of disease controls confirmed

Agriculture Minister Joe Walsh confirmed further relaxations of foot-and-mouth controls today - but stressed continuing concern over new outbreaks in Britain.

The Republic has so far recorded only one case of the farm disease among sheep in Co Louth - and restrictions imposed there were eased some weeks ago at the end of a statutory period.
