Petrol bombs thrown at houses in Clare and Limerick

Gardai in counties Limerick and Clare are investigating two separate petrol bomb attacks.

A device was thrown into the sitting room of a house in Clonlara in east Clare last night. It ignited but no one was injured.

Meanwhile, five men fired shots and threw a petrol bomb at a house on Island Rd in Limerick.

No one was injured. Gardai have launched a full inquiry into both incidents.
