Taoiseach tells Dáil all Arms Trial files are available

The Taoiseach is denying that any files relating to the 1970 Arms Trial have been destroyed.

The Government has still not taken any decision on a further investigation into the controversy, which was recently re-ignited with allegations of tampering with crucial evidence.

Bertie Ahern told the Dail today that after extensive inquiries, he is satisfied that all files relating to the Arms Trial are still available.
