'No problem' between me and Cardinal - Ahern

The Taoiseach has insisted that there is no problem between himself and Cardinal Desmond Connell following the controversy surrounding the Government's reception in the Cardinal's honour on Monday night.

During the Cardinal's speech to the reception, he made reference to the importance of marriage to society, an apparent swipe at Bertie Ahern's relationship with Celia Larkin, whose name was on the formal invitations to the event.
