Taoiseach speaks on Cardinal controversy

The Taoiseach has spoken for the first time on the controversy surrounding last night's reception for Cardinal Desmond Connell.

Bertie Ahern said tonight both he and partner Celia Larkin enjoyed the event, adding if he had not added Ms Larkin's name on the invitation, that in itself would have caused controversy.
