Homes, cars damaged after Belfast clashes

A number of homes and cars have been damaged after clashes between rival sectarian factions in the North.

Nationalists and loyalists in the Mount Pottinger area of east Belfast fought running battles as riot police tried to restore order.

Violence has erupted in the area on an almost nightly basis as Catholics from the Short Strand area battle with neighbouring Protestants.
