Man faces drugs charges following £700,000 raid

A man will appear in court today on charges linked to the seizure of drugs worth more than £700,000.

Cannabis resin, suspected Ecstasy tablets and amphetamine sulphate were all uncovered during an RUC raid on a house at Ballinamallard Road, Crossgar, Co Down.

Two people were arrested at the time, and police last night charged a 25-year-old Crossgar man with possession of illegal drugs and intent to supply.

He was due to appear at Castlereagh Magistrates Court sitting in Newtownards.
