Electioneering begins in the North

The North's politicians will begin their general election campaigns today after the British Prime Minister announced a date for the ballot yesterday.

There will be battles within both the unionist and nationalist communities, with the UUP fighting the DUP for the unionist vote and the SDLP and Sinn Fein battling for the nationalist majority.
