Two children hospitalised after Dublin fire

Two children have been taken to hospital after a house fire during the early hours of the morning in Dublin’s inner city.

The blaze happened at a house at Weaver Court on Cork Street in Dublin.

The children were taken to Our Lady’s Hospital for Sick Children, where they have been treated for smoke inhalation.

The alarm was raised when two Gardai on patrol spotted the fire at about 2:30am.

The Gardai were also treated for smoke inhalation but were later released from hospital.
