Heuston station closed until Monday

Heuston Station in Dublin is closed for the bank holiday weekend.

The terminal will remain shut until noon on Monday, to allow a new road bridge to be installed over the line near Ballyfermot.

Bus links have been set up for the weekend between Dublin and Kildare station, from where trains will operate a near normal bank holiday service.

It comes ahead of planned strike action on Tuesday by drivers attached to the Amalgamated Transport and General Workers Union, over union recognition.
