CAB body to be established in North
The North is to have its own version of the Criminal Assets Bureau, under legislation which will establish a counterpart to the investigative body throughout the UK.
A delegation from the Northern Assembly, headed by the SDLP's Alban McGuinness, visited the CAB headquarters today to examine its workings.
Mr McGuinness said a recent survey in the North had identified several crime gangs in operation, 44 of which were paramilitary-related.
Head of the CAB Felix McKenna said he hoped his body would be able to co-operate with the proposed new bureau in the North.
