Ahern calls for all Arms Trial details to be made public

The Taoiseach has said it is important to have all information possible relating to the 1970 Arms Trial in the public domain.

The Taoiseach has said it is important to have all information possible relating to the 1970 Arms Trial in the public domain.

The Government may order a full inquiry into the controversy pending the outcome of a report being compiled by the Minister for Justice.

The report will comprise of information from the Dept of Justice, the Attorney General's office and the Chief State Solicitor's office.

It is due to be presented to the cabinet next week.
