Four held over delivery van hijack

Four men have been arrested in connection with the hijacking and burning of a milk delivery van in Co Meath early today.

The van was hijacked in the Townparks area of Navan shortly after 5.30 am.

The driver was threatened but managed to raise the alarm a short time later.

The burnt-out van was discovered at Ardbraccan during a follow-up Garda search and four arrests were made.

The men are being held under Section Four of the Criminal Justice Act.
