Second Slane licence application due next week

Meath Co Council today confirmed that it expects to receive a formal application next week for a second U2 concert at Slane Castle.

A council official said that discussions had been held yesterday with representatives from MCD promotions.

MCD are also expected to seek a licence to stage the Witnness festival at Fairyhouse race course in Co Meath during the August Bank Holiday weekend.
