Garda crash victims buried today
The Garda Commissioner Pat Byrne and Justice Minister John O'Donoghue will lead mourners today at the funerals of two Co Kerry gardai killed in a road accident at the weekend in Cork.
Garda Seamus McIntyre and Garda George Rice died when their squad car hit a curb and then collided with a hackney cab.
The two men, both natives of Kerry, will be afforded full garda honours today.
The chairman of the Munster council Sean Kelly is to deliver a graveside oration for Garda Seamus McIntyre who played minor hurling for Kerry.
South Kerry has united in grief as it comes to terms with what has been described as a black weekend in the two communities.
