DART disrupted as vandals damage wires

DART services between south Dublin and north Wicklow have been disrupted this morning after vandals damaged the overhead wires upon which the trains run.

Thousands of passengers who normally use the train between Booterstown and Dun Laoghaire during rush hour will have to make alternative arrangements.

Iarnrod Eireann spokesman Barry Kenny said the company had been left with no other option due to the actions of the vandals.
