Abbeylara inquiry 'too narrow', says civil liberties group

The Irish Council for Civil Liberties has accused the Dail Sub-Committee on the Abbeylara siege of narrowing the focus of its inquiry into the incident.

ICLU director Donnacha O'Connell said other issues besides the circumstances leading to the death of John Carthy need to be explored.
