Gardai probe alleged assault in ASTI bar

Relations between parents and teachers have been further damaged by allegations of an assault on a member of the National Parents Council.

Pat Herlihy is being interviewed by gardai following claims that he was punched in the ASTI Convention bar in the early hours of this morning.

An ASTI spokesperson said they were aware of the allegations, adding it was now a matter for the gardai.
