Appeal decision 'in next few days' - Cooper-Flynn
Embattled Mayo TD Beverley Cooper-Flynn has said she plans to decide in the next few days whether she will appeal the High Court ruling against her in her libel action against RTE.
Describing the court bill she is facing as "daunting", Deputy Cooper-Flynn said she has not got the money to pay the costs, which are estimated at over £2m.
She added that her father would not be able to take care of her financial problems.
"My dad wouldn't be able to afford to bail me out, its gone way beyond that," she said.
"The trial itself cost several hundred thousand pounds, then you've an appeal on top of that and a re-trial if the appeal is successful. The cost is so vast, its incomprehensible."
