Barman shot during attempted pub robbery

A man in his twenties is undergoing emergency surgery at Cork University Hospital after a shooting incident in the city last night.

The shooting took place during an attempted armed robbery at the Cruiscin Lan pub on Douglas St, Cork shortly before 3am.
