Suburban rail to be upgraded

Capacity on the Dart service is to be boosted by over one third, with a multi-million pound investment in new carriages.

Iarnrod Eireann is spending £24m on 16 new carriages, to enter service from next month. The additional carriages are expected to cater for an extra 5,000 peak-time Dublin commuters.
