Man being questioned following stabbing
There was a second case of stabbing last night, this time in Dublin, which has left a man in a serious condition in hospital.
The incident took place in Dublin’s docklands area at around 8.45pm following a row between two men on Church Road in the Eastwall area.
The injured man is believed to be in his thirties and is being treated at the Mater Hospital.
He is said to be in a serious but stable condition but will have to undergo surgery later today.
A man is being questioned in relation to the incident and is currently being held at Store Street Garda Station.
It is the second case of stabbing to arise today after a man in his twenties in the Rathkeel area of Limerick last night.
