Two charged over murder of author
Two men in their twenties are due to appear at Belfast Magistrates Court tomorrow charged with the murder of an elderly man in the city.
The accused, aged 20 and 21, were charged with the murder of Lawrence Flanagan after his body was discovered at a house at South Parade on Monday.
The 70-year-old had been beaten and had sustained head injuries.
Mr Flanagan, a widower with three daughters, had worked at the Ulster Museum for almost 40 years.
He also wrote several history books.
